As I have grown up, whether in the classroom or on the playground, I have always eavesdroped on others peoples conversations. Not because I was particularly interested in what they had to say, but instead I was more interested in the way in which they said it. It was fascinating to me how different kinds of people interacted. Now in high school, I’m still intrigued by relationships and the social dynamics that the people around me create. The difference between now and then is that the polarity has changed. Cooties use to drive boys and girls apart, and now the attraction for one another forcibly pulls the sexes together.
A friend of mine gave me information about Real Life. Real Talk. and I was soon in contact with Crystal Collette, the Project Manager. It was one of those moments where God shoves you through an open door of opportunity. I truly believe in the mission of Real Life. Real Talk., parents talking openly with their kids about healthy sexuality, and I’m more than excited to be apart of all of it. I hope you enjoy our upcoming blogs, and I can’t wait to read your comments!
