Real Life. Real Talk.® in partnership with local agencies, faith communities, community groups, businesses, and individuals, encourages adults in our community to dialogue with youth about healthy sexuality. Moving away from the polarized debates of the past, local organizations are continuing to unite to help young people navigate our sex saturated culture.
All Real Life. Real Talk. partners must celebrate and agree to the premises of the initiative. This includes believing:
Sexuality is natural, healthy, and essential to human development.
Young people are shaped by their families and communities, and caring adults have a shared responsibility for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Talking openly and honestly about healthy sexuality with our community’s young people is important and expected.
There is room at the table for many views around healthy sexuality and youth development, and a diverse set of community partners can make change together.
As a community partner we ask that you:
Participate in the Real Life. Real Talk. Partnership Team.
Sponsor, host, or facilitate at least one Real Life. Real Talk. event.
Opportunities for hosting an event include providing a venue, offering an employee Sex Ed For Parents (or a similar type of event) event and/or workshops for parents in the community.
Spread the word by promoting the initiative within your agency or group, and/or community via website, newsletter, and media contacts.
